Happy Easter!

Today was a very beautiful day! The kids got up and we read in the scriptures about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and talked about why we celebrate Easter. Then we went downstairs to look at their baskets.

They all got new swimsuits, kites, chalk, toys, Legos, and candy! They also got some new shirts from Grandma and Guelito!

After all was said and done, we hurried and got ready for church! We sang "On a Golden Springtime" during sacrament meeting. It sounded really good and the kids all did great!

Spring Break

We just had Spring Break!

It was so much fun! We loved being able to sleep in and just relax!

We had piano lessons, trips to the library, movie nights, sleep overs, and a visit to the beach.

Our pool was still to cold to swim, even though it has been over 80 degrees.

The beach was great until this happened!

Swordfish was stung by a man of war fish. It is not really a jellyfish, but it sure looks like one. He was playing in the area of the beach where the water goes up on the beach, so it was not far out at all. The wave came in, he jumped up and went down crying. I got him up to our place on the beach and poured fresh water over the tentacles and pulled them off and took him up to the life guards. They said that lots of people were being stung by them too. So after watching Swordfish to make sure he did not have an allergic reaction to the sting, we went to the pharmacy to pick up Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream.

The kids decided that we are going back to the beach, but we will be much more careful and prepare next time!
